My 1965 F100 with the 300 cube six has the fuel pump with the filter on top of it. The pump is leaking gas when I shut the truck off. Can repair part be bought for that pump? NApa sells the pump but is $50.00 and is a order item. I did a search for fuel pump repair and the search engine gave me 300 results with no mention of fuel pumps, PArking brake cables and power steering. Whats up with that? Did it search only the word "repair"?
Have you tried anywhere else? It seems high in price. It's probably a good quality one if it's NAPA. I hate to recommend this, but have you tried AutoZone or Advanced? You can get kits to rebuild, but they're special order also. It fits 65-72 and maybe a little later. Ford part number for the pump was C3AZ 9350-Y. Have NAPA or any other place crtoss the ford number over to ensure you getting the correct pump.
I tried the locator and there a bunch of NOS Ford ones out there. If you want genuine, let me know and I'll post who has them. There's one place in Texas who has 20.
Thanks, I am not to concerned about that, as this is a un restored daily worker yet. I am going to take the pump apart tonight and inspect wher the leak is from.

If the filter has the metal screw on can, be very careful with it. They distort easily and then won't seal and really leak. They crush like a beer can.
Autozone has the pump you want for about $25. The new autozone pump is non-rebuildable. Your pump likely has six big screws that hold the two halves of the pot metal housing together. These, older, pumps are rebuildable. But the rebuild kit costs $30.
The kits are not readily available -- I found mine at:
I will say -- I have a $25 Adavance one laying around, just for the moment the rebuild craps out. I think it would have been better to just give up on the old one. There were parts of the rebuild that didn't go so well. There is a bottom seal that is covered by a flange that is "staked" in place, and getting it all apart was a real pain.
If the local place tells you the don't have the one you need, then ask them to look for a 69 or 71. They are the same, but a lot of places have trouble earlier than 67 or so.
