1) Sorry for making you guys work extra...I wasn't thinking about where I was posting it, thank you though.
2) I don't have any casting numbers, and need to say I know nothing about this engine. I found out about it from a newspaper. It's sitting in a Fairlane GT? Dual hood scoops on it? It lists a 429 Cobra Jet engine, and is selling for $2800 (the car w/ the engine in it). I'll check for the ad, and see what else it says if I can find it, but I figured I'd ask since I know zero about old Ford muscle. The asking price just sounded a little cheap.

Get ALL the casting numbers from us to verify it.
Casting numbers from the:
block (near the starter on right side of block)
Intake manifold (obvious spot)
Heads (located In the oil galley)
Exhaust manifold.
Make sure you also get the ACTUAL date of casting.
ie:
shows as * 9F22 *
These are important and here is an example.
