I read on another site where the powder was all but impossible to get rid of, when it was time to paint. These old trucks aren't bad to hold sand/soda as cars are, but I can imagine the problems painting inside the cab where the dust can easily hide.
They did mention that it created less heat/distortion problems on thinner sheet metal but that isn't a problem on our older trucks unless we go way overboard.
