get a good set of helper springs. try hellwig brand. they have been around for years.
with these you keep soft ride when unloaded, but get stiffer ride when full.
Hi, the biggest problem with the rolling and sway when loaded is the tires get a heavier tire six or eight ply truck tire and you will be surprised at the amount that 150 will carry!!!

LAST EDITED ON 15-Jan-01 AT 09:03 PM (EST)[p]I am about to get a set of 4wd springs from a friend of mine. They are of the 5 leaf variety, as mine are only the dinky 4 leaf kind.
The heavier duty 4wd springs will raise the back end of mine back up. I know the owner before me overloaded the back end of the truck, as the rear bumper and bumper arms were bent beyone fixing. Plus he had already blown up one M5OD transmission, so I know he rode this truck hard.
Hi, if you need new springs the ones to look for are from a 150 supercab they have a much heavier load rating than a regular pickup I put some on my 84 150 from a 82 150 supercab my truck was a 4900#gvwr and the supercab was a 6200#gvwr it raised the rear end of the truck three inches and it would hold more than I could ever put in it but it rode like a truck. ford also made a 5500#gvwr truck I think that would be the better choice. but if it is just sway and body roll I would suggest heavier tires.
