are you wanting to put a new engine in it? By a nice truck do you mean just running good and having some power or do you mean lift it and all that other stuff?

hey, your gonna have to get rid of that 6 cylinder and get a 351 to put in if you want power and to do upgrades. If your gonna put on 33's you will want new gears like 4.10 gears unless you want your power to go down the drain. I think you should fix the brakes first off. Having or not having the braking you need is pretty serious and is necessary to have a good workin truck. Also I would fix the floorboards too now. The floorboards and brakes are really things that have to be fixed and then the other stuff like tires gears, etc would come later.

And while I agree with tigerhawk on the 351 to an extent, don't let the 300 fool you. Its a strong, reliable and virtually indestructible power plant. Not nearly as many aftermarket upgrades as the 302 and 351 have available but, still a workhorse of a motor and with todays fuel prices, less costly to run. I think it'd be cool to see just how much power someone could squeeze out of a 300. I know there are people making better performing intakes, heads, and exhaust manifolds for the old 170 cid I-6 that was the original Bronco power plant but not sure about the 300.

If you want performance modes for the 300 check summit racing they have intakes, headers, and cam kits for that engine. I would keep the orginal engine also you could install a turbo charger or super charger
