Here in Houston on Monday thru Friday morning it's runnin about $2.20 and Friday midday thru Sunday evenings it's $2.29. I would quit going to those stations that raise and lower the prices like that but it seems like they are all doing that
$2.31 / Gal here on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Premium is $2.29. Heating season is nearly over here, so hopefully diesel will start to fall. Diesel just hasn't been going up as fast as gas in the last month.
just wondering.... i heard a man talking about the oil companies... he said they haven't built a new refinery in decades... they know that within 50 - 100 years, they won't be refining any more oil, becuase there will be so little of it left and it will be so expensive, that alternative fuels will be more cost effective. in the meantime, the oil companies need to maximize their profits so they can pay for the development of these new energy sources... i dunno if it is true, but it sounds logical... in the meantime i think we'll see a continuous increase in the price of ALL fuels....
Took two 5 cent increases in the last week here in central Kansas....$2.33. With oil at $58 yesterday, suppose it will take another hike in the next day or two. Pretty soon, it will take a $100 bill just to fill up
I'm not looking forward to driving a truck that runs off of hydrogen...Maybe if they could make it produce the same sound as a 7.3......Personally, I think the tree huggers are blowing this global warming thing way out of proportion. And how can fossil fuel quantities become lower over the years if mother nature is still producing them? Natural things like that just don't cease. Sure, we may be using fuel faster than earth can produce it, but take a look at how big the world is. It would take a LONG time to run the fossil fuel supply dry, if possible. Plus those darn tree huggers will say anything to the public in order to make use of fossil fuel in the future sound impossible (ie:saying we're running out). I'd have to see it to believe it.
This webpage is updated daily. I use it to determine where I'll stop when I'm on the road. Since I carry a 96-gallon bed tank, I can be a bit selective. Barring a rare local station with a good deal, Flying J seems to have the best prices around the country.
i am sorry to say.... RodanAZ has it right... these gas stations are giving everyone the shaft.... they call in on a daily basis to check on the price, then they adjust it at the pump, even though the paid a lot less for the thousands of gallons they have in the tank in the ground.... your best best is to find some local store owner who runs the place himself and is too busy to go out and change the price till the truck comes and resupplys him...

Yes. And don't forget part 2 - when prices drop, they wait until the truck comes in with the lower priced fuel...
One local station 'adjusted' their prices 3 times today...anyone believe they got three loads at three different costs?
I'm no fan of the government getting involved in commerce, but we're getting fleeced...
BTW, up $.08 overnight to $2.62 here in AZ.
I think that if we would all look up the oil companies profits and then look at thier political contributions, we would realize that "our" government is involved in commerce. Ca
