Need Help

I have a 1990 f150 with a 1985 351w, c6 tranny, with an edelbrock carb. I just had this motor installed. It is surprisingly slower than i thought it would be. I think it is because of my rear end ratio which is stock from the 4.9 I6, code 18. This is my project truck and im thinking about starting with a new rear end. What would you all suggest I go too? Or if i start somewhere else in my truck?

I'd go with 3.73's in the rearend, I have no clue what is currently in there, maybe someone can chime in with it. Is the rest of the engine stock?

If lower you gear it the more acceleration your going to get. But you are also going to be increasing the top gear RPM's too.

yeah i want better acceleration because top speed doesnt really matter to me my truck will do 125 right now and i dont need it to go that fast lol so better acceleration but lower top speed is fine with me so you think i should go with 3.73 or 3.90 or 4.10 or something around there

mine has 3.55's in it and I am happy with them. If it's not going to be a dailey driver go with 4.10's.
