Why no "N" for ESF?
Why is that Ford does not give us a neutral position when we opt for the electronic shift on the fly? Without this we are not able to flat tow our trucks.
My previous truck, a 2002 Chevy 2500HD, and my wife's Yukon XL both have the ability to place the transfer case into neutral by holding down both the 2HI and 4LO buttons for 10 seconds.
I would love to be able to tow my truck behind our motorhome 4 down.
Ford also does not give us the option for a manual 4wd selector on the Excursion...all have ESF. We were looking to replace her Yukon XL with an Excursion with the 6.0L but cannot due to this insightful decision by Ford.
