400 into an 83
I have an 83 f150 4x4, 4spd. It has a 300 in it, but its tired. Now i have a 400 jasper motor in my 79, which im scrapping because the body is shot, but the 400 runs strong,with only 20,000 miles. (sat in my backyard since halloween and started yesterday like it was drivin). anyway, the 79 had a 400, 4x4 and was also 4 spd, but the 79 had a granny gear.
now i know frame perches from an 80-82 with a v8 will work in order to bolt the motor to the frame.
what else?
will my old bellhousing work to bolt to 6cyl trans?
starter? alt? input shaft into clutch?
