Question Can anyone help?

I have a 1997 F-350 with a 351 Windsor that does not have a computer in it. It does however have a rev limiter which makes it cut out at 95mph. I am wanting to disconnect the rev limiter but I am not exactly sure how to go about it and do it right. Can anyone help?

A 97 without a computer? Must not be EFI either. Didn't think Ford was buildin carbed motors that late in time.

No it is fuel injected just there is no computer port under the dash or no where to put a performance chip in it.

The computer is located in the passenger side kick panel. ( where your right foot would rest when sitting in the passenger seat.)

I have looked for the computer in every part of that truck and can not find it and there is no port to hook up to either.

You have to pull off the panel ahead of the door on the passenger side to access it.

Look I am looking for a couple of wires. You are not helping out baddad457. There should be two wires to cut that lead to the distributor but I am not sure which two wires to cut. If anyone knows which wires to cut I would be greatly appreciative.

Your computer is probably under the kick panel or look under the hood, on the drivers side under the master cylinder area. You have to have a computer to run EFI. They do make chips for these and they generally get rid of the speed limiter with the upgrades.

Theres no magic wire to cut. You'll need a chip or eec tuner to remove the rev/speed limiter. The computer in my truck is behind the drivers side kick panel(Have to remove the e-brake to get to it).You may want to check there
