When you say "chunk" are you talking about the trans? If so you should be able to swap out tail shaft yoke and use the one from the 3 speed. I had to do that on a similar tranny swap. It was a bolt in.
check with junkyards or consult a hollander interchange book to find out what tranny might have same size u-joint . you might be able to get a parts guy to figure it out using the u-joint parts book. i know on the f150 you can have 1-1/16 or 1-1/8 u joint cups, so it should be easy to find out what will work.
ultimately, you may have to have yoke welded on your driveshaft.
Without knowing the exact year model of your truck, or, what truck the driveshaft came from, I would say you need a part # 5-1204X Spicer joint in the rear and a 5-213X / 5-1203x JOINT the front. Identifying U-joints and where they can be used is kinda my specialty (17 years in parts w/ driveline building experience)so if you have trouble, feel free to contact me.
