Turn Signal Indicator Light
I have a minor problem with my 84 Ford, the turn signal indicator light in the dash on the right side hasn't worked since the day I bought the truck brand new. I replaced the bulb once and it didn't help. Has anybody else had this problem and found the solution ? I can't hear the turn signal clicking because my hearing was damaged by an explosion that knocked me unconsious while I was in the Army 26 years ago. I'd like to mount some small lights on top of the front fenders, that would help a lot.

It could be the circuit board on the insturment cluster itself. Don't condemn it yet though. I will look at some schematics in a while and see what I can find out. What did you do in the Army?
Talk to you later

I signed up for the Airborne Rangers in 73'. I made it through jump school, but not the Rangers. From there I was put in a Pathfinder Company at Ft. Rucker, Alabama, there I helped train helicopter pilots. From there I was sent to Berlin, at first I carried a radio, then they found out how good I was with a machine gun, then they put me on a jeep and we patroled along the Berlin Wall. I was the gunner on the jeep, had an M-60 mounted on a pedistal. In November of 74 I voluntered for French Commando School in Kehl/Strasborg, it was a way to get out of Berlin for awhile. One month of obstacle courses, survival training, gueurilla warfare, explosives, mountain climbing. My hearing was damaged during a winter field excercise somewhere around Wildflicken in Germany. The Squad I was in was a attacking the bad guys, and these jerks set up a trip wire connected to an artillery simulator. One of my buddies on the left tripped the wire and I was standing right over it when it went off. I was only 19 years old then and not very smart, I should have had it documented, I'd be getting some kind of help from the VA right now.
