My buddy just called me from Baja. He's driving his '91 F-250 Diesel 7.3L with a slide-in camper down there. After driving through some seriously treacherous and bumpy roads, his radio went out (just the stations, it still buzzes and the tape deck still works). Along with that, his horn, cruise control, interior light, power locks, and worst of all his headlights.
He checked the fuses and they all seem fine. What he did notice was a little wire had broken off from one of the batteries. He stripped it and bolted it back on but there was no change. He's going to need to drive back to Oregon to get back to work, and he's going to need to drive at night to get back on time.
Anyone have any ideas? He doesn't have a mechanic to go to down there, I've got a call into mine, but I was hoping to get some ideas for him in the meantime.
