if you are install a larger maf, then you will need a custom tune. i have an 01 like yours. with a larger tb i have been running rich. i have sent my chip in to be tuned for my larger tb, short tube header, true duals with an h-pipe. hope this has been some hlep for you. i want a larger maf sensor, but i don't really need one unit i am able to add a blower. the stock will flow good enough to keep up with my other mods.

i had the muffler shop custom make it. the tubing is completely new from the cats back on both sides. they added a pipe that hooks to both sides. i am unsure but i think that it cost an extra 40.00 dollars.

You'll need to get the air/fuel ratio checked after installing the MAF. If its correct there's no need to get a custom tune. If its not, see if you can correct it across the board with the Predator. If it won't, then you'll need a custom tune. Is the the MAF calibrated for stock?

ken, i sent you guys my chip. i been thinking about add the 90mm lightening maf. i know that they are programmed for 42lb injectors. with the a/f ratios i have already sent; can you still program for it? i will also ask when you guys call me. i just thought if i know early, i can go a head and order it. thanks again.

deckedoutf150, i have a good tone that is not to loud. they are very strict here about sound levels. mostly about sound systems but they will hasle a loud truck or car. i have never had a problem.

cool, i am saving for headers now and a new paint job. as for the MAF its a grantilli MAF that claims its good for 17 hp at the rear wheels. so i am guessing that it is not set for stock.
