Ok, here is the story...
I bought this 1960 f-350 tow truck from a guy who had no clue about these trucks when he started it up the engine made a horable noise and started to leak anti-freez out the water pump. I told this guy to shut down the engine. The look on this guys face was like someone stole his best toy, Anyway I got it less than what he was asking. I towed it home and changed the water pump and it ran fine every thing worked on it too, for 5 months till one day I was moving it into the drive way when all hell broke loose from under the floor board.
I parked it in the driveway and looked to see what happened. All the flywheel bolts backed out and came loose from the crank shaft and tore up all the bolt holes. So I have been replacing the crank shaft and flywheel for the past few days that is why I have been asking for all the torque specs.

Some story - like Ross, I'm glad you survived to tell the tale.
I've got specs for flathead V8s from 32-53, and all engines Ford produced from 64-95. All references to flywheel torque settings for all the above engines is 75-85 ft/lbs.
edit: Just found a reference among my collection - 292 Y-block flywheel is same 75-85 ft/lbs.
