Truck has a dial on dash for 4WD.
Hubs: Have a "Lock" position & an "Auto" position.
This is my cousins truck. He has never used the "Lock" position on the hubs. Always used the "Auto" position.
Just recently, he took it out of 4WD and now he hears a "clicking" on left hand turns. Sounds like it's coming from the drivers side hub.
Is this hub not disengaging? Is it bad? What to try to remedy?
TIA for all replies.

It sounds like it could be the hub still locked. I'm no pro on the new style hubs.
He may try switching the hubs from auto lock to lock. Then place the truck in 4wd a move it forward or backwards a bit. Then take out of 4wd and place hubs back in auto lock.
Because hubs can bind and be hard to unlock. my warn hubs on my 79 Bronco have done this. I did like i stated and they worked just fine.
hope this helps. might search thru SD forum to see if any others had this problem
Put the hubs in auto, and the truck in 2wd on a paved road and back rapidly about 15'. Not burning tires, just a quick trip in reverse. This should free the hub.
