I put in some 3 way 5x7 pioneer's ...#6870's if I recall right, but don't hold me to it.

You can pick them up at wally world for ~$53 a pair, and the 4 ways are just a tish higher. Good speakers for the money.

I have The Boston NX 87's in my 97 and love them!! much clearer and better bass response than other speakers i've had in the past well worth the money IMO... keep in mind that a good speaker is only 1/2 the battle.... a good deck and maby an amp will further your listining experence!! I have Mine setup with an alpine deck (pictured below) and connected to the factory premium sound amp, it's loud and CLEAR!! no distortion at all even loud... now all i need it time to design a custom fiberglass enclosure for the 2 12" JL subs i have laying around and i'll have a compleated system!! Good Luck!!

I to have the Boston Acoustics, I like them the best, have tried others in the past, however it seemed the BA played louder and cleaner.

I have the Pioneer 3 ways in the rear, no point spending gobs of money of those since they are mainly for filler. Spend the cash on replacing the speakers in the doors. I have the Infinity Reference 6002i, and they sound amazing. The Kappa series would be even better

I've had Boston Acoustics in other trucks in the past and really liked them. Nice and clear.

This is a picture from my F150. The F250 uses the exact same kit, and looks exactly the same, except the hole above the radio is a bit different and deeper.

Hope this helps out.

Thanks Superrangerman, after looking at the picture I'm definitely going to get a single din receiver with the kit...I don't think the double din receivers are worth the extra money
