Coolant Additive
I have just over 6000 miles on my 2004 6.0L. I installed a coolant filter and purchased coolant test strips at the same time.I tested my coolant from the petcock with the test strips and it showed just slightly low for the additives(I forget what they're called). My owners manual says not to add anything to the coolant and the dealer says the same. Should I add or not and what is the name of the additive? My dealer says there is an additive for the 7.3 but not the 6.0.

Your dealer is correct. You don't test or put additives in the newer gold coolant. Just leave it in until 100K miles then do a complete flush and refill. (For some reason, the spec after the initial fill is to flush/replace every 50K miles thereafter.)
