Infamous fuel pump / fuel gauge problem
[font size="1" color="#FF0000"]LAST EDITED ON 16-Feb-01 AT 07:01 PM (EST)[/font][p]Desided to remove the rear tank today and see how much money I could spend on one of Ford's engineering blunders. Looks like I may get to spend a wad. Is the fuel pump and sending unit for the fuel hand sold as an assembly and if so how musch does Ford require for this this days? Also had to destroy the ring that holds it in the tank to get the old one out, wonder what that will cost? The inside of the tank is really nasty looking, any suggestion on how to clean it? Sorry about all the question, it looks like Ford would have to fix this since so many people have the same problem.

Hi, don't know about the cost but you could check with http://fordpartsonline see what they can do for you I talked to Gary and he said he will do what he can for all of us over here on FTE. John
