Holley 390 Installation

I have an Offy dual port, now I need a carb. I'm not a big fan of Holley but I think in this case their 390 (8007, as I recall) is the accepted/easy/best overall way to go. Questions I have:

1. What will I need to have on hand to install this carb and get the truck running? Compared to the Edelbrock, this carb seems fairly specific for this installation - Ford throttle arm, etc. Will the stock throttle cable work? Is a 4-hole spacer necessary/worthwhile? I plan to adapt a Ford aircleaner so I can have a warm air riser, and I already have a hot water plate for the bottom of the manifold.

2. As delivered, how close is the 390's jetting and secondary spring? (one source says this carb is for a six in a light vehicle - the truck is 4900lb wet).

The truck: '81 F250 4wd, 300 six (stock reman w/cast efi 2.25 duals), t18, 3.54, 32" tires.

Any advice appreciated.

A fresh set of gaskets and you will need a Lokar throttle cable and bracket. That is, if you have the DP version of the Offy manifold which requires you to put the primaries closest to the head (per Offy's instructions). An Offy C manifold has no such requirements and is probably more lenient on throttle cable choices.
I am running a 1/2" spacer on mine...

I think that the jetting is dictated more by your elevation than anything. My carb came with 512 jets which is supposedly an average jetting for these things.
