It gives you more money, more time for activities, and more time to think your own thoughts! (which many seem to be without these days) Read a book! socialize! Going for a walk with someone I love (friend or otherwise) is many times more gratifying that I ever remember tv being.
I want to say that tv is good for the 'news' but even then its mostly a bunch of crap...

I have seen that show a few times, I don't really care for it, I only watch ESPN, Family Guy and the Simpsons
, Football when it's on, NCAA Basketball, and Chapelle Show and South Park, thats it, I don't care for much else on TV, I use it for background noise when it gets quiet in the room, but thats it. TV sucks now, all this reality crap, they are really going overboard with it, and the woman I talked to last night is an example of one of the most addicted reality show watcher in the world. She was calling every 5 minutes to see what was happening on American Idol while she was administering a random drug test to us at work last night, I was like, stop with that, hurry up and get me out of here so I can go home.

I used to watch TLC a lot. Now it's all remodeling shows. I'm going to delete it from the channel lineup this week. There's enough of that on other channels already. I'm sick of the cycle shows, their all repeats twenty times over. I did see a new Mythbusters last night but I'm sure it will be on another ten or so times before I get to see another one I haven't seen yet. Reality shows are stupid. People used to go to the movies and watch TV to get a break from reality. HBO and Cinemax show the same movies over and over. This is why I got a DVD player and rent movies.
