I can't think of a Ford I would want to bash. Now if you want to do a ugly Dodge truck post I will be glad to RESPOND !!!
Rod
I'll respond to the ugly dodge truck post:
I used to own a 58 dodge pickup with a flat head 230-6
Man was it ugly, but cool at the same time.
All old trucks are cool. There!!!!!!!
The series from '80-96 was undoubtedly the worst IMO especially the early '90's ones, that tried their best to look like Internationals.
Can't say I am totally in love with the '59 and '60 Fridges, or the '42-47's or the 38-39's either, BUT If you compare the UGLIEST Ford to a '60-'61 Chebby,http://www.stepside66.com/60Chevy/The%20truck/ you are gonna come out smelling like a rose. They are possibly the ugliest truck ever built with it's goofy big eyebrows, it looks like Lou Ferrigno as the Hulk .
Dodge has never built a good-looking pickup since the Dodge brothers died, up to and including the newest ones.

I'm just the opposite, and I'll probably get slapped upside the head for this, but I think the 51-52's got wacked with the ugly stick! I think the grille is the worst part, then the hood trim. I like all the 48-52's, and I know they did it to stretch the lifespan of the series, but I'd of shot the designer of that grille! LOL !!!!!
I used to not like the 51 to 52 grill either, but I saw a truck of that vintage in a magazine that had 5 "teeth" on the grill instead of 3. I thought it was a cool touch that you only notice if you're familiar with what it originally looked like. Since then I've liked the grill, the hood trim still does nothing for me.
jvmcc, my wife would agree with you on the 53-56. I have a book that talks about the 48-56 F series trucks and I showed her the different years. She said she was glad that mine was a 50, because the years after that are ugly.
j gibbs, tell your wife she has good taste.... Regardless of the model (even Dodges...), these old trucks have infinitly more charm than anything rolling off the lines today.

I agree with 51 Panel Man; I always thought the auger grill was neat, especially compared to the plain grill it replaced; seems to give a 3 dimensional look instead of 2 dimensional. I always see that one at the Supernats which has added 2 more uprights to the grill.
Wanna build all 3 of my kids something to leave them when Im gone, and my wife too. Wanna build all 3 kids a 66 and earlier fastback stang each, and the wife a vert. My guess on the ugliest truck would be a long bed 57 maybe.
The best way to make an old Ford ugly is let it rust, or wreck it. Besides looks are like lipstick and makeup. They don't help you through the mud , run the truck faster , or get BETTER GAS MILEAGE. With that in mind, does it really matter?( I own the ugliest truck on the block. It is a '59 with mostly original Ford Blue paint on the cab, a Krylon Blue interior, and primer Tan stepside bed. )
51 ford fan, evidently you werent on the chat at the right time last saturday night....i think we had a half hour discussion on how its doo-doo, not do-do, because the do-do is a bird.....interesting things us fools get to talkin about, haha....im sure the emu would agree if he'd ever show up and check out this thread...
