I just, pulled rear end last night . Not a 9" , it has a Dana 44, 3.54 gears posi. It was making a noise that is why i removed it checked it & found out the axles splined were worn badly & spiders are worn badly . ? are the dana 44 rears equial to the 9" ???? The 9" purches need to be cut off & rewieled to remount in the stock places .

The 9" i got from a 74 f-100 fe had 31 spline in it i also am going to rebuild the trans. from the same truck & install it also & disc. brakes from it also. My next question is a mini spool in a short bed ??? is it ok, but i must remember that on rainy day's it stay's home ??? I have never driven in the rain yet !!!
