Tach install

I have a 2004 F-150 Heritage with the 4.2 Liter (distributorless). I have an aftermarket analog tach that I want to install. I was wondering where I need to hook into to receive the tach signal. Thanks for any info.

There should be a white/pink wire located at the PCM on the passenger side fenderwell. That is the stock tach signal wire.

It is the powertrain control module, it is the engines computer.

Thanks for the info, I am going to get on that install maybe this weekend, I am really busy with school and stuff around the house, we are replacing drain pipe. So if I have any more questions I am sure you will hear from me.

Thanks again.
