F150 4x4
Have a 1981 F150 4x4 with a 302. After running it for a while and then shutting off the engine it will not start again for about 2 to 4 hours.I have replaced the duraspark II ignition module because the base was cracked but it still has the same problem. During this time there is no spark. I have tried to trace the problem but seem to be missing something in my search.

Soapydog, Check the coil. It is possible that it may have a crack in it. I have also seen on a truck where the coil became oil soaked from a line that was weeping over top of it. The coil retained too much heat and stopped working. I would pull the coil off and examine it outside of the engine. If you have any douts, I would replace it. Good luck
