1983 E-350 Engine Wiring Harness

1983 E-350 Engine Wiring Harness

I am trying to locate an engine wiring harness for a 1983 Ford E350 van (with the 351W 5.8L V8). The Ford dealers (about 10 or so) all say that the harness is long out of stock and trying to locate one through "car-part.com", "ezfindparts.com" and other national parts services didn't get me far (I've even tried some of the "obsolete parts" companies...) I've also called all the junk yards local to my area in Maine, still with out luck.

I'm not sure where to start at this point...

Does anybody know where one of these parts (or vans) might be?

I'm not sure the existing one can be saved. How easily can a wiring harness back to the block be built? Or am I basically screwed here?

This is a business vehicle, so everyday that this truck is out of service, I'm out of business!!!

www.copartfinder.com should give you a few more options as far as junkyards go, I'm not sure but would an `83 F-350 w/same drivetrain work as well?

Hi, give http://fordpartsonline a try if they don't have it maybe they can tell you where you might get one they are very helpful everytime I call. John
