Exclamation Time To Modify

I had to be pulled out of a ditch tonight by a Suburban! I had stopped to help out a buddy and I got to close to the edge of a ditch and off she went. I tried but couldn't get her out do to the fact she was on the pumpkins! Anyway, it's time to go up! I want to run at least a 35" tire with the stock 18" FX4 wheels. I know I will need the 4.56 gears as well. Now, what lift does everybody recommend? I want the best one for articulation but not give up towing or hauling capabilities.

f150 lifts

4" Rancho - fits 35's.. middle-priced
6" Pro-Comp is the cheapest.. and seems to be high quality.
6" Fabtech is next.. very high quality but a little more expensive
6" Skyjacker - not very popular.. they are known for great products but you must also pay for the name.. pretty expensive
8" CST - Fits 37's or 38's.. also very expensive

Pro comp and fabtech are by far the most popular.. just search in galleries.
Ebay has pro-comp lift for 1225$
also try www.rockymountainsusp.com
hope to see your results.

If you want to realy save money put BFG 315/70/17 off a Hummer on, no lift required. I took out the rear lift block and installed a drop shackle to level the rear of my truck.

Costs:
Take off Hummer tires with 40 miles $85.00 ea.
Rear shackle $52.00 pair.
4 Bilsteins $265.00.
Stock 17" FX4 wheels free from same Hummer guys.

Great articulation and not give up towing or hauling capabilities Plus able to get it in garage. Priceless

industrialjunk, where did you buy your take-offs. I've called every hummer dealership in my area and can't find any. I'm hoping that while I'm in Arlington Tx next week I'll be able to find some in the area.

04Silver The dealers aren't the best place to start. I go to the independant aftermarket guys here in Vegas that put the 22's and 24's on for these clowns in the H2's.
Discount tire and such ilk are not much help as well.
Good luck.

They are BF goodrich All-Terrain T/A tires, size 315/70/17
They fit my 4X4 OK on your 2X4 I don't know, with that size tire with a 4.6L your gonna have to change gears almost certain of that. I put 4.56's on mine and I've got the 5.4L.

I got 35x12.5 18" GFB Mudd-Terrains on the stock 18" and all I got was a 2,5" DayStar Leveling kit. Only a slight rub on full turns
