If you are going to al of the trouble to do this work, I would invest the extra few bucks for new in whatever bushings you will be removing. It's what I plan to do. That way you don't end up with any mystery clunks after doing the swap. Please let us know how it goes.
I got the springs installed. I also installed an Add-a-Leaf kit from Summitt Racing. My old springs must not have been that bad, because even with the AAL I only achivieved about an 1 1/2" lift in the rear end. But it leveled the vehicle out nicely. I like the way it rides, it is not mushy anymore. It has a firm but comfortable ride. One more question though, in the front I had a difference (before and after) of about 1" (measuring from the fender well on the driver's side and passenger side). I did a torsion twist to try to eliminate the problem and I got it within 1/2" of being equal. The thing that bothers me is I am having to turn the driver side bar nearly all the way in, (There is probably 3 to 5 turns left) and I have to loosen the passenger side by several turns. Does this mean I need new torsion bars or maybe another component?
