Led Lights

I have found a set of LED lights for as 73 and up trucks. I was wondering is their anywhere that sells the lights for a 67-72 truck. I would like to put them in my 69 F-100? Thanks for any help

Try doing a search for old Ford truck parts and see if the part #'s for the light assemblies are the same.

Question

Shackelford, I was wanting to know if you purchased a set of the taillights.
If you did I was wondering if you know the part number. I went to a Tractor Supply near the house looking and the guy told if I knew the stock or part number he could order a set.

I wouldn't say it is CUSTOM rather, it is a safety upgrade. the big trucks are all going to LED tail lights on trailers, and tail panels, so why would you wanna cut your 73-79 bedside for use of such a safety feature? I know there are ALOT of that year seiries trucks around still being used for heavy work. not to mention alot of your box bed manufacturers put these 73-79 lights in their tail panels, as they have backup lights already installed, and you only need to cut a rectangular hole to mount them.

I am sure if you wanted to get nasty about it, one could just swap out lenses to make it fit the 67-72 bed.

Don't forget these older vehicles have thermo blinkers as more the current the faster they blink. One lamp out and the blinker stops. Newer vehicles went to a electronic timmer that controls a relay, this system will work with LED's. This is with 1157's or 2057's brake / tail lamps. LED's run on alot less current like 20-30 ma's per LED. You must add a resistor to ground to load up the thermo blinker to blink, this should be in some of the LED conversion kits, be sure to ask.

ranger, what he's talking about you dont have to cut anything , they fit right in the factory assembly. you put your factory lenses on after you install them.
