im looking to eventually put duel exhuast on my 87 bronco with a carbed 351. i want something really deep sounding but not too extremely loud. im also working with a fairly limited budget. does any one know if summit turbo's would give me this sound. any recomendations would be appretiated
Summit's turbos might be pretty quiet. You could try flow 70 series or 50 series mufflers and 2.25" pipes. Pretty much any turbo muffler is going to be pretty quiet. You usually have to spend decent money for a decent sound. Flowtech terminators and Flowmasters can be had on ebay for fairly cheap.
With a vehicle like a van or bronco you have to watch out. I put a pair of turbos on a van and they resonated inside so bad that I had to change to something with a deeper tone.
40 series delta flowmasters hands down, have them on our 95 bronco and sounds awsome.....has a good interior tone, not to loud but you know something is underneath yuh . Almost drowns out at highway speeds so that is nice, but once you stop on'r and it kickdown it screams pretty good, but definatley not TOO loud....i think the 50's are too quiet...pretty wimpy in my opinion.
