First I want to thank those of you that answered my question about looking at 66 F100 on Saturday. The drive down I-5 on Saturday was pretty messy with record rains and high winds. But when I got to Vancouver Washington, I found more than I was expecting. I'll let the pictures do their own talking. . .
I took her for a spin around the area got back and felt no real reason for talking him down from the $900 he was asking. I jumped on the train Sunday morning and drove it back. I was suprised that even since it only has a 240 I6, I was able to keep up with traffic with out a problem. I can't wait to start working on it.
Very nice ride. I think you will find that eventhough you are keeping up with the traffic you will get the best milage around 60 unless someone has swaped the gearing out
$900?
If that truck were in the northeast, the truck sitting in a field with no drivetrain in it would be worth more than that in the condition of yours. Excellent buy!
Beautiful! $900? It would be an insult to offer less. "minishtr", find yourself a yard sale if you insist on knocking something off a great price. Gimme AFB!
Yes, you got the "DEAL' or steal of the week! That's a nice truck. Up in New England area, that's a $2000+ truck. Congrats. You'll like this site, alot of knowledgable and very friendly guys who can help you in alot of ways on your truck.
I have been apart of a few groups, the Ford owners already seem among the one of the best groups around. I have already met Don "camperspecial65" and hope to meet others as I go along. I have posted more pictures in my gallery for your entertainment
My God! That seller must have really been down and out, desperate, or maybe even insane to ASK $900. Everyone take a look at Ron's gallery and see what I mean. That truck has power steering, dual master cylinder conversion, padded dash, original radio. I also noticed what looks like a nice, clean, original floormat. Throw on a rust free bed and chrome bumpers and Ron's looking at getting arrested for robbery.
I was very pleased with the truck...Im green...errr red with envy....the truck is a super solid deal....put it to ya this way....after seeing it and all....I would have bought it without even hearing it run.....he got, in my opinion an excellent deal.....
