'04 Excursion Missing Parts

It appears my '04 Excursion Limited V-10 had a couple of items missing as it rolled off the assembly line. Then ones I have noticed thus far are as follows:

Hood insulator
Hood Light
Front Door Courtesy Lights

I have purchased the hood insulator and hood light but do not see any place to plug-in the wire and the wire provided by Ford was only about 12 inches long with no plug. Thus, I will have to splice an end on to hook-up.

Can someone provide me with the proper factory set-up for this light as to where it should go in the harness ?

Also, I am looking for the missing parts to add the courtesy lights to the Front doors. Does anyone have the Ford Part numbers for the missing parts and is there a plug in the harness to add these lights ?

Thanks for your help.

Mike

I notice this myself. Some of the 04 F250 and Excursions didn't have the hood insulator. I notice this a while back. Also had notice the Antenna has been changed to a non-painted version. I didn't really pay attention to the antenna untill I looked at some 05's. I think it looks too "plain".

I added the hood pad and light on my '05.

My dealer ordered the lamp and harness for another year truck. I simply plugged in that harness to the light...clipped it to the hood the way the factory did....then ran the wires to a ground (on the driver's side inner fender) and to the "on" side of the foglight relay. This way, the hood light only works with the parking lights one. I added the foglights, so the relay was very convenient to tap from. I also wrapped all the wiring with convoluted tubing so that it looks factory.

You could also use some of the pass through wires on by the master cylinder.

I found no place to directly plug-in anything that the truck was not built with. Ford does not use generic wiring harnesess...so if you want to add something...you need to do it yourself.

Once more thing...be sure to install the hood pad AFTER the hood light.
