I started her up and she was idiling really quietly, I thought it sounded strange. Then I put her into gear and she started smoking hard. When I tried to drive no power and lots of black smoke. Got her back in the yard and called a tow truck When we started it to straigthen the wheels for the tow, she just smoked lots then stalled when put in gear
Does it sound like I'm in big trouble????? I just had it serviced with and oil change and inspection less than 100 miles ago.
If it happens in the future, shut off ignition, disconnect the EGR, start it back up and see if the symptoms persist. If the EGR is stuck open, that won't help.
Yup as usual you guys were right. They were a little floored at the dealership when I told them that I had diagnosed the problem and what they needed to fix
They also told me that if if happened again and I disconnected it, it would run long enough for me to get it to the dealership and that's about it.
My question is after reading up on it, is it better off left disconnected all the time?
