Largest tires on 2wd

How big can I go on a 97 2wd XL that's stock? Also, would a 3" body lift change that answer? Thanks in advance.

If your going to stay with a "P" tire,255/70 16 with no problem on the stock wheels (beieve they're 7").

Actually, I was thinking of getting some BFG A/Ts since they seem to hold up really well. This truck won't ever see any serious offroading. With a body lift, would I be able to fit 31's maybe?

i had 265x75r16s on my truck with no lift and they cleared fine
