86 351w Ho

Anybody know horsepower for 84-86 351w Ho? Also found 040 on pistons, i think motor has been rebuilt. Any input would be great. Thanks.

210hp in 85. Same as the 85 Mustang and Capri 5.0 carburated engines. I think the torque rating for the 5.8 was a little higher than the 5.0.

Thanks for the info. Found out motor is 84,and has been rebuilt that's the latest info.Still need to know 040 on pistons, does that mean bored over 40 and doesn't that change compression ratio?

Just because it is bored over doesnt mean the compression ratio has changed .It usually depends on the piston compression ratio that is installed, also if the heads were shaved can also raise the compression ratio.I have a stock 86 351 HO in my truck.
