Why would this be the wrong forum? and what would be the appropriate forum?
The oil pan is somewhat difficult to change. If you're fuel injected, then I believe you need to remove your upper intake, loosen your motor mounts, loosen your tranny mounts and lift or jack the engine up. I needed about 4" to remove my V-8 pan and someone mentioned they needed 7" for the 300. Make sure you block the engine a little so it won't crush your hand if the jack or lift gives way.
By the way, I have a good oil pan from an '82 I-6. No rust whatsoever. I'd sell it for $20 and you pay shipping.
