Great Site!
I was browsing the internet and came across this site. I liked it so much I signed up! I have a 1950 F1 that I'm trying to get back on the road. A few years back I was rubber-necking a tricked out Corvette and this old lady in a Citation (honest to God!) stopped dead in front of me for no apparent reason.
Well, I dinged up the grill and lower fenders a bit, so I decided I'd pull 'em off and rework them. The engine was getting a little tired, so I figured I'd rebuild that at the same time. Well, the frame was pretty dirty when the engine came out, and you know the rest. Before I knew what happened, everything was off the frame, and my basement and garage were filled with pieces and parts, much to the delight of my wife.
The best of intentions of a quick rebuild were replaced by the needs of my kids, family vacations, a remodled kitchen, a new vehicle for the bride, etc. etc. So, some seven or eight years later it's finally going back together. It has a '69 302, .030 over, a mild cam, an AOD auto, tilt column, power steering, and all new brakes. The cab is even back on!
Hopefully I'll get some pics on the site soon, before and after.
Thanks for listening!
Joe
