dip stick

I read an article today, about magnatizing your dip stick[/?] to pick up crude in oil .whats your thoughts on this one

I use a magnetic oil pan drain plug. They are available at most auto parts stores.

I'm all for the magnetic drain plug, have used 'um for years. Keep the crud at the bottom of the pan that way you'll know or your mechanic will if somethings going wrong.

the article said ,pass your dip stick between the poles of your soder gun ,to magnatize the dip stick.Every time you check your,you remove some crude
