I'm confused; do you want to use the T-Connector to power the rack lights or to power a trailer? Either way, you won't get reverse lights power from it. Best bet is to plug in the T-Conn and use a meter/test light to figure out the 3 hot pins; make sure you have a good ground.

Pop the tail lights out & note the wire colours. You can probe the wires with a test light to find out which one is brake/turn or park (tail light). The reverse will be separate. The ground for all the lights should be the same colour.
Follow the main wiring harness from the tail lights to behind the cab. Locate the noted wires & splice in. Do a really good job sealing the splices up so they don't corrode.
The LEDs have 3 wire plugs, right? You can use the truck battery & jumper wires to find out which is brake or tail. If the 3 wires are white (ground), black (tail), red (brake), the battery & jumpers will confirm this.

Lightgreen/orange is left turn and stop.

orange/lightblue is right turn and stop.

black/pink is the reverse lights.

Now, guess what I found out. If you have a towing package, they did have the reverse lights back at the trailer hook-up(I am looking at a 1999 diagram). They have a reverse relay in the battery junction box under the hood, and it feeds a black/lightgreen at the trailer plug for reverse lights on the trailer.

And if you also have a trailer tow package, and you pick the wires up in the rear on the plug:

yellow is left turn and stop.

darkgreen is right turn and stop

The difference between the truck harness colors at the top of this post, and trailer connector colors at the bottom is the ones at the trailer connector run through a fuse in the box under the hood.

I ran all of my acc. wiring off of the Tow package as well, any problems and it should not affect any of the trucks electrical.

See if you can find a black/pink running along the frame rail to the back. This should be it. What are the wattage of your new back-up lights? If they are very large, you are going to need a relay to help the original back-up switch handle the extra load.

If they are white LED's, then don't worry about it. They probably don't draw much current.
