PCV Valve

Does anyone know a good pcv valve other than the motorcraft for the 03 150. the ones that i am finding at autozone and napa don't have the large threads that screw into the valve cover. the dealership wants $15 for a motorcraft pcv valve!!!

it may seem expensive, but you want it to fit correctly and work the way it should. whenever possible replace with motorcraft.

Check O'Reillys for motorcraft parts...I think Autozone also sells some motorcraft, but chould be wrong.

How often are you supposed to replace the PCV valve?

Every 15k eh?...I might be a just few thousand off. All the records that I have of my trucks maintenance back when my dad owned it and had it taken to a shop to work on say that it was just "checked." I guess I should look into replacing mine especially if it is every 15k.

IF you are changing oil frequently, you should not have to change the pcv valve that often. If it rattles freely with a metallic click it's okay.

15k is bs, you don't need to change it that often. Read your owners manual, you will find that the dealer replaces the pcv valve free of charge at a certain mileage.
