Turbo Moan - GONE!

I have the same problem 05 F-350 diesel. My dealer and FMC claim its the turbo exhaust valve solonoid causing a fluttering noise at slight pulling throttle at mid range. They are working on a repair. Not sure if its software, or a bad solonoid on the exhaust plate.

I have an 05 and started to notice this moan/droan a couple of weeks ago. Mine is preaty bad wen cold but gets better as it warms up. The dealer had it for three days and told me that this is normal, all the 05's do it. I didn't think that the 05's had this problem but looks like they do. I love the truck but I hate driving it like this, it very annoing.

Got several replies. Guess I am not the only one. Ford, it appears is aware of the problem and is working on a fix. EPA has to ok the fix before they can release it. Your dealer is full of it, telling you all fords have it. That is a cop out. Check with your service manager and tell him FMC is working on a fix, and to call you when its ready.
Other than this problem, so far I love my new truck and the new Tow/haul feature.
