bleeding steering box and pump

how do u bleed the steering box and power steering pump properly on a 78 f-250 with a 351w

Ive always hear just fill up the pump, turn it all hte way one way, refill it, turn it the other way, refill it, repeat until it doesnt effect the fluid level...

Jack up the front so there is no resistance on the system and do what he said, except have the engine running. Keep checking it and refilling it. If you let it get too low in the reservoir you will reintroduce air in the system. It is no big deal except you will have to work at it a little longer.

Always did the same.They are supposed to self bleed with use. I heard that it is better not to go all the way to the steering stop tho.
