Oh, I forgot to mention the best part-time job I ever had!!! Join the Navy Reserves, you will see the world , and make about 250 bucks for a weekend. I am not Joking! See your local recruiter, and they will give you the scoop.
reserves ain't 'reserved' anymore, you'll be doin something more the one weekend a month and 2 weeks a year but you sign up knowing that, or at least should know it...
I almost joined about 3.5 years ago when I couldn't find a job at all, partly due to my class schedule. Wonder where i'd be now since I'd be called up, kinda cool thinking I could've actually served a purpose....
well, gentlemen, we all have trucks so anyone can do what i do. i go to different companies around the bay area that need a pallet shipped same day or need something picked up from a vendor in another part of the bay area. anything under 100 miles round trip, $50 per pallet plus gas. Over 100 miles, $75 a pallet plus gas. seems steep but still usually undercuts a common carrier that takes 2 days what i do in 2 hours. definitely a cool thing to do on your off days from work.
Check out the various medical studies that might be in you area. The pay good for not much time invested. Also depending on where you live you can get paid for donating blood. I give it for free at work but my college son gets paid for it. He is poor but he is putting him self through on his own.
The other thing to do is learn to dry wall. Lots of side jobs you can find and once you get good at it you won't spend much time doing it.
