Going for the original.

Ok, the spring is right around the corner, and I do not want to drive like a drunken monkie, is there anyone that have a steeringgear box for my 55?
(it is expensive to bring parts to Norway )
I think the gear shaft is really living a life of it`s own.
I must ask you about another thing:
When I fixed my house a few years ago, I put a wall in front of my garage,
do anyone have a good idea how to cut the wall in two, to get my truck
inside without getting my dear wife really angry?
I allso need some adwise about what to use for the floor inside my truck, at the moment it is just metal and some isolation.
And at last, sorry for the bad language, I hope you all understand what I am trying to say.
Think of it as if some of you tried to talk Norwegian.
thank you is takk in norwegian.
and Ford is Ford in any languige.

Helge, this may be a dumb question - but why did you put a wall in front of your garage?

Helge... my Norwegian is no good but I know what you mean about the garage and with your permission I will try to enlighten my friend George.

George... I put a wall in front of my garage when I married that sweet Barbara that I am still married to. I did this to house my new and youngest step-son who was a senior in high school at the time. We turned the single car garage into a bedroom using this technique. It provided him with a private bath and private entry to the house. I didn't have an F-100 at the time and didn't have enough charm to convince Barb that her son could sleep in a nasty old garage.

After getting all of our combined children married and out of the house we moved to the desert. The two car detached is now my shop and studio. Still no garage. Life is good.

garageless, himmelberg

Helge-
The fact that most of the world speaks at least some english has always impressed me as well as the fact that most of us Americans only speak english. Your english is certainly understandable whereas I wouldn't know anymore than TAKK (which I just learned). As far as the wife goes it is probably a lost cause. Most wifes don't seem to understand our interest or fasination with old trucks and cars, they just tolerate it. And if you start messing with their nest they can get real mean real fast. Have you done a search on interiors or audio systems on this site. Seems the subject of insulation and sound deadening plus carpet, etc. has been discussed at some length.
Take care.
