Allright, on a Ford ring and pinion is the ratio stamped directly onto the ring gear, or is it like a dana axle where it lists the number of teeth on the ring gear and the pinion gear?
If it's like a dana, what numbers am I looking for for 4.11's?
I know a guy that has ALOT of third members and dont want to ask him to go through and count all the teeth and run the numbers on all of them, so if he has something easy to check, it'd be great,
if the tag is on it that will say what gear it is, with the same ratio numbers. 4.11 will say 4.11 on the tag. i found a original 4.11 but they are super hard to find. most common is 3.50 and 2.75.
i know reading tags and all that, but these are just loose third members. He messes with EB's, so I'm pretty confident there's at least one 4.11 in there.
