Arrow Charity Poll

This poll is to see if the majority want to donate a certain percentage of the Chapter Funds to a charity or have fund raisers and earmark those monies for a charity. We also need to decide if it should be local (in-state) or national. When the majority decides we will then dicuss and vote on the particular charity. The poll will last for 15 days.

I voted for the local charity. Although, I also like the idea of having a fundraiser dedicated specifically for that charity.

At this point I voted to keep funds in chapter account for future needs. I'm not against a charity, but believe the organization may want to have some funds available to promote the chapter or to use in an emergency. Part of the issue is, does the chapter currently have funds and how much is available for a charity? Maybe if we had a balance of funds i.e $500 then anything above that could be used to support designated charities. I just threw out the $500 as a possible figure. The group would need to decide. In the end I'll go along with the chapter's will.

I think only once. I beleive we need to have more cash in the bank before we start donating some of it. So I voted keep it for future needs. And as the need arises we can donate it for a local charity.

^^^ Me too. If folks want to give to a charity, they will, and if they don't, that's up to them too. This way they can decide.

Not on this one. I tried to make it where there would only be the need for one vote. If this poll is not sufficient then we can have another.

OK, for those that want a account balance, It is $282.95.

Thank you all who donated the shirt funds to the chapter account.

The charity thing is something to keep in mind. Not that we have to do something right now, I just want us to commit to something instead just talking about it. I feel we should do some fund raisers for a charity. I also feel we should solicite other chapters to donate to a charity. Maybe even challenge them.

Maybe the NW chapter needs to do something instead of playing with gerbils!!! LOL

My point is this, If we as a group can help just one child or feed one adult, that is something we ALL can be proud of.

I voted hold fundraisers. I think that would be the quickest way to help a charity. That way chapter money can go back into the chapter and fundraiser money can go directly to a charity.

Now the problem is getting us all at the same place at the same time...LOL.

Mark, thanks for the info on the balance in the kitty. I know that keeping books for a group is a lot of work and I appreciate your doing it. It is not something that I would want to do.
