hard starting 360

I 've got a 76 f150, It starts fine if the the engine is stone cold or if it's completly warmed up, but anything in between and it doesn't want to start. It turns over but won't start. If I'm lucky cranking on it for about 5 min it might sputter to life. any ideas?

My guess would be choke is not properly adjusted. Hard to tell from your description if it's comming off to fast or not fast enough.

sounds like it is flooded like the choke is not working or you could have a bad ignition box

It's got a holly 2300 with a manual choke. could i not be adjusting the choke right? When I can't start it I try every choke position and still nothing.
