Tis correct. Also my understanding that all of the newer vehicles up to 96 that lived in areas where their pipes were sniffed, will get safety stickers, with no more sniffing. Everything else will rely on the newer OBII.
yep true that i got rid of the tag on my hot rod 69 f-100 and cleaned the area that the sticker used to be real good. tinted the windows as dark as i could so now i am good to go
I have been told by an inspector at Jiffy Lube that all cars before 1974 no longer need to get inspected. Vehicles from 1975-1995 will need the safety inspection (yellow Sticker). 1996 and above will get full inspection - obdII - plugged into computer not the old exhaust pipe.
you should not but you can go to the local DMV and they will print you a copy of this statement then put it in your glove box with the reg. just to make sure
