Did you have to update the computer to compensate for the lower gears ? How has your truck performed since the new gears?

I think it's Eaton that makes an electric locker for this vehicle - don't quote me on that though.

Yeah Tuner will take care of change speedo issue. I would pick Detriot True Trac or ARB for front 8.8 and i believe that Detriot is also selling True Trac for 9.75, they re better quailty limit slip!!!

I would like to add something...when it was bad snowstorm here on Long Island over a foot, so i went to beach w/ snow covered over 1-2ft (drift-spell?) and i drove thru it and my truck is awesome and pretty heavy truck (screw FX4) and i m happy with it even i dont have sand bags in bed.

I tried to get the Eaton electronic locker but it wasn't available. There were a couple of other pre or just released options but I really didn't want to take that big of a chance and was targeting never touching anything for a long time to come. Unlike the Jeep there's not much available for the F150's yet. I ended up with the Eaton posi and It is working really well with minimal chatter under power on sharp corners but you certainly know it's there ... unlike the stock LS.

My motives were not to try and make my truck a rockcrawler or win a race ... but rather ... ready to pull a 7000lb toy hauler into the hills. I do frequent some less traveled roads and the toy hauler required spring over conversion to help keep it out of the dirt too. I did run in low lock the other day and the crawl was noticeably slower with the new gears.

Tonight I put my new cat backs on. I chose the Corsa Touring with the hope of some performance without noise. It took 2 of us about an hour or so to install. I must give Corsa credit for a PERFECT kit! No customization or creativity needed! Ah, only slightly louder than stock, just what I was after! Gotta say... I think the tuner is cool! ... Had it set for towing this weekend and set it for performance and bumped up the shift points for a little romp around with the new pipes.
