Step on It Noise

When I gun my 2002 Ranger XLT its tends to make a chortling noise -- is that a restrictor that is put on Rangers?

and

My truck bed seems to be misaligned by a little bit... is that normal?

Can you describe the noise a little more, not sure what "chortling" is.

Both of my bed are square with the cab, lossen the bolts and see if you can adjust it.

It's like a humming - but louder... only when I accellerate quickly... We have a Jeep as well and it doesn't do it... but the Truck does... I have never owned a Ranger and I found out that you cannot exceed 3000 RPM when in park or nuetral so I figure that maybe it's the same issue...

concerning the bed... it's off alignment very slightly due to a sideswipe by the previous owner... If i loose the bolt and readjust it just might do it huh?

The noise might be normal, could be the fan, intake or tranny. What engine/tranny do you have.

The computer limits the rpms to appox. 3000rpm when your not in gear, normal.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this noise??
